Salary: Between £50,240 – £73,630 + annual bonus & benefits

Office Attendance: Our roles are hybrid, however you should be able to travel to EHQ when required for this position.

We’re looking for a Test Engineering Lead to join our Help Me Borrow team, this role entails
A focus on implementing our strategy across self-managed teams, leading on improvement initiatives and coaching and driving standards.
Technology and innovation across the test engineering function and within value streams and platforms.
You’ll be working alongside the Release Train Engineer and Senior Customer Value Manager in the Help Me Borrow Value Stream, reporting to the QA Manager.
You'll contribute to and oversee roll out of the Tesco Bank Test Strategy as well as providing Quality Assurance and acting as a point of escalation for 5 Feature Teams
What you’ll be doing
- Pro-actively contribute towards our Quality engineering and automation strategy, as well as our quality engineering principles, practices, and standards.
- Collaborate with the Release Train Engineers and Solution Architects to promote enterprise shift-left techniques and provide risk assessment to determine test types required and automation approach.
- Provide test leadership within our value streams and implement agile testing strategies and practices that support feature teams in building quality into developed products.
- Deliver as part of the test engineering leadership team, to deliver and implement change on tooling, processes, practices and raising awareness across key initiatives to deliver our test engineering transformation strategy.
- Lead associate and senior test engineers to deliver end to end testing using automated, formal manual and exploratory approaches.
- Participate in the innovation and continuous improvement process to meet the changing demands of the business and emerging industry trends and standards.
We need you to have
- A passion for testing and technology. You have a vision for the future of testing and that you can improve our strategy and delivery.
- Experience of delivering in agile environment with a focus on embedding a continuous testing approach into the SDLC.
- An ability to convert thought leadership on continuous testing into deployable solutions and processes to improve the Tesco Bank Test and Quality Assurance Practice.
- Extensive experience defining and owning the delivery of test engineering and automation strategy and capability in medium to large organisations.

- Experience and understanding of defining and implementing automation frameworks that are maintainable, extendable and can exercise UI and Service layers of solutions under test on web, mobile and desktop applications and services
