Head of Mechanical Engineering

Working on behalf of one largest Chemical manufacture company in UK with ties all over the world, My client, a Top tier COMAH, are actively on the look out for a:

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer ready to make the leap, or an established Head of Mechanical engineer to be offered a progression opportunity to Head of Engineering followed by the Site Manager position.

Offered is a lucrative salary alongside:

Up to 12% bonus

37.5 hours per week, flexible start time

Pension minimum 4% contribution client will match it up to 7%

Below are some details on the role,

Leadership, Line Management and Mechanical Engineering

• Develop competency within the mechanical department.
• Ensure continuous improvements of maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards.
• Ensure attendance of the team members at required regular trainings according training matrix.

Compliance

• Involvement in process safety and hazard analysis (HAZOP) and process safety compliance with realisation of process safety measures within area of responsibility.
• Responsible for management of change in relation to technical and engineering facilities.
• Ensure the mechanical integrity of the plant consistent with corporate, and UK legislation and standards.

Maintenance

• Logging, evaluating, and controlling of the maintenance key performance indicators (KPI)
• Take ownership of escalated maintenance issues, carrying out trouble shooting and developing technical solutions to safety, process, and reliability issues.
• Feed into maintenance and shutdown planning routine and critical tasks.

Site Projects

• In cooperation with the Head of Projects; Identification, definition, and management of small capital plant projects within the budget and timeline.
• Carry out engineering design and specify equipment for small projects and modifications.
