First People Solutions is recruiting for a successful consulting engineer in Glasgow who are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join their Power and Energy Infrastructure team.

The Role:

• The work will involve the design of highways, roads and sustainable drainage systems for work within the power and energy sector. Projects include wind farms, grid infrastructure, road improvements, and other highway elements crucial to the construction and operation of power and energy infrastructure
• Ensuring documents, designs and drawings are in high quality and comply with design standards
• Working alongside team and management to support design delivery
• Attend design meetings and liaise with clients

What we need from you:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Chartered (CEng) status or close to
• 4-6 years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
• Proven experience working on various roads or highways infrastructure design projects, from concept to delivery
• Experience of SuDS, drainage, and pavement design is an advantage
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX Design or Microdrainage desirable
• Full clean drivers licence
