What will you be doing?
The Apprentice Salesforce Software Engineer will work closely with the wider team to identify issues with the system and to support our business users with BAU requests.
Key job accountabilities:
- Design, operate, and integrate Salesforce systems to enable efficiencies in key areas of the business and use Salesforce automation to streamline internal processes.
- Manage multiple stakeholder engagements and work with relevant team members to learn project requirements, facilitate process analysis sessions, and develop technology solutions.
- Identify project issues and risks, and present alternatives for alleviating or resolving them.
- Design, build, and deliver tailored solutions for the business using Salesforce and other connected technologies.
- Provide day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the connected Salesforce platform.
- Support continued build-out of key reports and dashboards, data administration, and integrity upkeep.
- Provide technical specifications and help maintain overall documentation for the business.
- Support end users of Salesforce and development and maintenance of the Salesforce platform.
What we are looking for / Desired skills and experience:
- Knowledge and experience in the development, administration, and support of Salesforce systems (Essential).
- Knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities, including Sales Cloud, CPQ Service Cloud, Pardot etc (Essential).
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD best practise (Desirable).
- Familiarity with 3rd party tools like Ownbackup, DocuSign, Conga etc (Desirable)
- Experience with Salesforce configurations
- Experience with enterprise integration tools and ETL (extract, transform, load) tools (Desirable)
- Familiarity with tools like Ownbackup, SFDX, CLI. Visual Studio Code and GitHub, etc (Desirable).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality (essential)
Entry Requirements:
- The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider
- OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test
- OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test
- OR 2 years’ experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
