Job Requirements/Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an engineering lead to Join the OCS engineering team working on a prestigious static site in Watford. Reporting to the onsite Facilities Manager you will been responsible for the maintenance and compliance checks leading a team of engineers.

We are looking for some who is a team player but can work own their own initiative to keep the site operational and complaint, completing all work to the highest standards in keeping with the OCS quality assurance guideline and safe systems of work.

You will be expected to manage any subcontractors that are required to work on the site acting as the AP ensuring the work is completed to the highest standards.

Your secondary role is to support the one site FM with all matters from a technical perspective given competent and professional advise on projects so the ability to work closely with the OCS team and the clients team is essential. 

Main Duties:

  • Technical lead on site supporting the OCS contract team and client to achieve a fully compliant site and exceptional service delivery for the stake holders
  • Act as the site AP for sub contracted works
  • Complete compliance checks to ensure the is evidence of compliance
  • Manage material ordering and stock control

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A dynamic and flexible approach with a desire to set the example and lead the team
  • Must be IT literate to a good standard using Microsoft Word, Excel etc
  • Experience of working in the FM sector particularly the corporate environment
  • Legionella control qualification would be desirable
  • Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes
  • Experience of completing risk assessments and method statements; along with issuing permit to work for hard service tasks
  • Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 would be desirable
